Smartruffle

Cidatum is participating in the project alongside Panoimagen and Drónica SMARTRUFFLE (Image and Data Analytics for Truffle Cultivation 4.0), funded under the 2022 Call for Proposals for Grants to Support Innovative Business Consortia Aimed at Improving the Competitiveness of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises.

This project involves the development of a a system that helps the holm oak growers to identify areas where it is It's likely that you'll find truffles and sort them according to the optimal time for harvesting, so that the truffles are obtained from higher quality.

To achieve this, an app will be created WebGIS which will display maps generated by artificial intelligence algorithms. These algorithms will look for patterns that indicate the presence of truffles in an area and, in addition, they will classify these areas based on the ideal harvest date, using advanced data analysis and modeling techniques. All of this will be carried out taking into account the agricultural characteristics of the project and the producers' needstruffle.

This project has received funding from the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism as part of the program to support AEIs, with the aim of helping to improve the competitiveness of Spanish industry.
