Open Digivine 2
Validation of specific models and comparison of potential savings on plant protection products relative to conventional treatments carried out according to a pre-established schedule

Description

The Open Digivine 2 project, coordinated, managed, and promoted by Cidatum, aims to establish an open network (Open Data) that incorporates as many weather stations and soil and plant sensors as possible, both public and private, located in vineyards.
In addition to Cidatum, the project partners include the La Rioja-based company Encore Lab and the Catalan organizations Associació AEI INNOVI, Tamic, Herencia Altés, and Bodega Roqueta Origen.
This project has received funding from the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism as part of the program to support AEIs, with the aim of helping to improve the competitiveness of Spanish industry.
Benefits
Technologies—including a network of agroclimatic stations—will be used to validate predictive models for common diseases in the region’s vineyards and make them available to all farmers, and specific recommendations for soil management and water availability will be identified.
