GameYou Project Presentation

Born “GAME YOU!” as a result of a two-year European cooperation project funded under the EU Commission’s Erasmus+ program. This initiative aims to promote youth employment through video games and esports, as well as to identify career paths and train professionals in these sectors. The tool will be presented to young people, teachers, and career counselors on June 27 at the Espacio Lagares in Logroño.
Building on the popularity of video games among young people, “GAME YOU!” offers tools to assist education and career guidance professionals in providing guidance and advice. In a context where young people face a multitude of stimuli and opportunities, this tool aims to guide them toward their professional future. The project’s main objective is for the materials created to serve as a guide for identifying professional skills and to help young people understand what competencies are needed in different fields of work. This is made possible through a manual for professionals, workshops based on non-formal education aimed at employability, and an interactive tool for young people that allows them to identify their potential in the workforce and how to improve it through the synergy between the recreational, didactic, and pedagogical aspects of video games.
Participating Organizations
The organizations that have developed the project, with financial support from the EU and under the coordination of Capacitanes, are: Neo Sapiens (Spain), Polygonal (Italy), RATO Association for Cultural and Scientific Promotion (Portugal), and the Slovenian Esports Federation (Slovenia).
Capacitanes: Social Innovation Through Gaming, Esports, and Simulation
Founded in La Rioja in 2020 and home to one of Spain’s first gaming hubs, Capacitanes continues to develop innovative, high-impact cultural and educational resources and initiatives, focused primarily on alternative leisure activities and promoting the employability and development of young talent. In addition, it supports educators and professionals working with this group, contributing to the gaming, esports, and simulation ecosystem, while promoting healthy lifestyles and addressing challenges such as addiction prevention, bullying, and generational transition, and fostering digitalization through training programs and its competitive video game teams, notably La Villa, the first village for digital content creators, which was launched in Camero Viejo, La Rioja.
