AERTIC Participates in the National Cluster Conference

The National Federation of Innovative Business Associations and Clusters (Clusters.es) is holding the event today in Viladecans National Cluster Conference with the promotion of innovation as the central theme of the event.
The Minister of Industry and Tourism, Jordi Hereu, was tasked with officially opening the event with a speech on the role of clusters in public innovation policy, which the media were able to follow live on the Atrium Auditorium in Viladecans. In addition, the institutional opening ceremony was attended by Roger Torrent, Minister of Business and Labor of the Generalitat de Catalunya; Carles Ruiz Novella, mayor of Viladecans; Jordi García Brustenga, Director General of Industrial Strategy and Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises at the Ministry of Industry and Tourism; and Daniel González-Bootello, president of Clusters.es.
During the conference, there were several keynote presentations, panel discussions, and a presentation of national data from the SME Innovation Barometer. Specifically, there was a roundtable discussion on the contribution of clusters as a driver of innovation in industry, moderated by Xavier Amores, vice president of Clusters.es, and in which the following participated Jordi García Brustenga; Oriol Alcoba, Director General of Industry for the Government of Catalonia; Alberto Cominges Secretary of Clusters.es and Luis Noguera, legal advisor to Clusters.es. Susana Prieto, a member of the Clusters.es board of directors, presented the First SME Innovation Barometer, which featured examples of high-impact projects developed collaboratively by clusters, companies, and innovation centers.
